Catering runs ₹650–1,250 per plate across Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, hall rental starts at ₹25,000 (waived on qualifying packages), and 35 rooms, free parking for 15+ vehicles and in-house A/V are on the same property. Most banquet venues in Guwahati are built for 300–500 people. If your guest list is closer to 50–100 — a reception, engagement, sangeet, birthday, annaprashan, retirement party or company dinner — a big hall feels empty and costs more than it should. Our hall is sized for exactly this range, and it sits inside a working 35-room hotel five minutes from the airport, so outstation family can land, check in and walk to the function. ## Capacity by layout | Layout | Guests | Best for | |---|---|---| | Theatre / rows | 100 | Ceremonies, pujas, talks, launches | | Round-table dining | 70 | Receptions, anniversary dinners, sit-down meals | | Classroom | 60 | Training days, workshops | | U-shape / boardroom | 30 | Family meetings, board meetings | Planning tip: book against the number of people who will be in the room at the busiest moment, not the whole invite list. A 150-invite reception where guests come and go across the evening often peaks at 80–100 in the hall. ## What it costs | Item | Price | Notes | |---|---|---| | Silver catering | ₹650–750 per plate | Multi-cuisine spread, welcome drinks and starters — pujas, birthdays | | Gold catering | ₹850–950 per plate | Lavish veg + non-veg spread, live-counter add-on — receptions, engagements | | Platinum catering | ₹1,100–1,250 per plate | Premium signature menu — weddings, corporate galas | | Hall rental | from ₹25,000 | Waived on qualifying catering packages — ask when you enquire | | Catering minimum | None | Menus are tailored to your guest count and requirements | For 100 guests that means food of roughly ₹65,000–₹75,000 on Silver, ₹85,000–₹95,000 on Gold and ₹1,10,000–₹1,25,000 on Platinum, before hall rental (if it applies) and taxes. The full per-plate breakdown, with worked totals for 70, 100 and 150 guests, is on our [wedding catering price page](https://hotelshinygrand.online/wedding-catering-price-per-plate-guwahati). ## What is included - **In-house catering** from our chef-led kitchen — 120+ vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes across Assamese, North Indian, Chinese and tandoori. Custom and regional menus on request. - **A/V** — projector, screen, sound system, microphone and fast Wi-Fi. - **Stage space** for sangeet, DJ nights, speeches and cake-cutting; late-night events on request. - **Decor** — ask about bringing your own decorator; we confirm the setup window and any venue fee in writing with your quote. - **Parking** — free, inside the gate, for 15+ vehicles including larger vehicles; space for the baraat. - **Rooms on site** — 35 rooms from ₹2,500 a night with free breakfast, so elders and outstation guests stay where the function is. Late check-out on the wedding morning is subject to availability and may be chargeable. - **A dedicated event contact** on WhatsApp from first enquiry to the last plate. ## Why a venue with hotel rooms near the airport Guwahati functions pull relatives from Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and across the Northeast. With LGBI Airport 1.7 km away, guests fly in, take the one complimentary one-way airport transfer (pickup or drop) that comes with direct room bookings, and are at the venue in minutes — no 45–60 minute cross-city drive, no hunting for a separate guest house. Room + banquet bundles put the hall and a room block on one quote. ## Events we host Weddings and receptions, engagements and sangeet nights, birthdays and anniversaries, pujas and family functions, kitty parties, farewell and retirement parties, conferences, training days and company dinners.
